I have loved hunting for as long as I can remember. My Father and late Uncle used to take me along on their hunts and I cherish those times together. Those childhood experiences and memories are the major reason I decided to dedicate my life to professional hunting.
Born and raised in South Africa, I have had the opportunity and privilege to hunt in much of the country. After finishing school, I completed two years of compulsory military service in the South African defense force. After my service time ended, I started my training as a Professional Hunter, I also studied Mechanical engineering and apprenticed as a diesel technician, which has come in very handy while in the bush.
I believe in conservation through the sustainable utilization of our wildlife. Therefore the ethics of hunting are of the utmost importance to me. I have hunted and guided in several Southern African countries such as Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. This has given me the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in hunting different game species throughout Africa.
In 2012 the opportunity arose to start TDK Safaris with Wes and Lisa McArtor. It was hard work but with the support of the McArtor’s, my wife and family I have been able to live my dream and share my passion for hunting with others from around the world.
