Why should you visit Cape Town and do a customized private tour with TDK, what does Cape Town have to offer? Let’s find out.
TDK Safaris offers customized private tours as an add-on to your hunting safari or as a standalone Safari. This means that you have your own guide with no overcrowding, it is just you and your partner or the rest of your traveling party. We pride ourselves on the flexibility of these tours, which means a dream safari for you and your travel companions.
Cape Town is a pulsating assortment of color, cultures, beauty, and cuisine. With its flat, eye-catching mountain, beautiful vineyards and white sandy beaches, it’s a destination made for extraordinary experiences.
Cape Town offers so much variety. The city is known for its harbor, for its natural setting in the Cape fynbos Region, and for landmarks such as Cape Point and Table Mountain. Robben Island stands as a reminder of South Africa’s troubled history. This is where Nelson Mandela, anti-apartheid activist and former president of South Africa, was held captive. Another big attraction in the area is the whales that visit the Cape coastline. Whale watching is at its best during the months June to November only.
Then there is the Cape West coast, famous for its wild flowers in spring, during the months of August and September. When the wildflowers are in full bloom, they are a breath-taking sight, decorating the fields with splashes of color as far as the eye can see.
Last, but not least, another good reason to visit Cape Town is the
wineries in and around Cape Town. The Western Cape boasts a flourishing wine industry churning out robust reds and crisp whites. On a tour of the Cape Winelands, you will visit picturesque villages and take in the splendor of one of the most appealing regions South Africa has to offer and taste our fantastic Cape wines.
There is so much to do, to see, to experience in Cape Town and its surrounding regions, that you will leave wanting to come back.
This is our reasons for visiting Cape Town, let’s see what one of our Clients Dana, from Kansas USA, had to say about her customized private tour to Cape Town with us.
The Two Worlds of South Africa
Our first time in South Africa was spent at the spectacular TDK Safaris. Our guides, Kevin Brits and Dakota McArtor were knowledgeable about everything safari and answered every question we had. I’ll never forget the first time I saw a giraffe in the wild, or lions protecting the rhino. I’ll never forget getting a massage in a “rondavel” and zip-lining across a beautiful valley. The food at TDK is some of the best food I have ever eaten. It was magical and I knew this wouldn’t be my only trip to South Africa. I wanted to go back and do it all over again but wanted to expand on my first experience.
On my second trip, I again visited the wonderful TDK Safari and experienced many things I hadn’t before. After a week there I flew to Cape Town for my customize private tour, and into a new world of South Africa. Cape Town is one of the most picturesque cities in the world.
Flying in and seeing Table Mountain was breathtaking. Driving along the coast to Cape Point, eating in fabulous restaurants, seeing the darling penguins at Cape Peninsula, visiting wineries and all the while being chauffeured by an incredibly experienced and informed local guide named Broose Jones was extraordinary. Without him, we wouldn’t have had the rich experience we did.
He knew just where to go and when. Due to his skillful knowledge, we visited places typical tourists wouldn’t know about. We learned so much about the culture and politics of South Africa. Again, like Kevin and Dakota, Broose could answer every question we had and then illuminate the topic. Most importantly, I always felt safe.
The short version is if you plan to visit South Africa, experience a safari, and then spend some time in Cape Town! You will treasure the two worlds of South Africa!
